A company travelling down from Scotland arrived in Bradford for a scheduled training day at their Bradford division. After a long drive, they parked up at their hotel around 6pm, leaving a trailer in the car park carrying a desilter valued at approximately £40,000.

When they woke the following morning, they discovered the trailer — and the desilter — had been stolen overnight. Thankfully, the machine was fitted with a tracker, which quickly showed its location within a nearby housing estate in Bradford.

Using the live tracking information, the team followed the signal and were able to locate the stolen equipment. The desilter was successfully recovered, preventing what could have been a significant financial loss and major disruption to their plans.

Although the incident meant cancelling their training day, the swift recovery meant the company avoided losing a valuable piece of equipment and the time and cost involved in replacing it. Most importantly, it brought huge relief to the team to have their £40,000 machine safely back in their possession.
